Amazon Floating Fern glides elegantly on the surface of the water. The green, triangular, toothed leaves form dense rosettes while roots hang down beneath the rosettes, providing spawning areas for fish as well as cover for their young. The roots also help with the uptake of nutrients from the water, helping to eliminate algae. A beautiful and unusual plant that adds texture and interest to your water garden feature. Place Amazon Floating Fern in full sun to part shade. The Amazon Floating Fern is considered an annual in the north and prefers warm temperatures and warm water. After 3 months in summer heat it can get 3 feet wide and 2 or more feet high but only in very hot conditions. In central and northern states they likely wont get that large.
Simply place Amazon Floating Fern on the surface of the water! No planting necessary!
