Ambulia Limnophila Indica
Ambulia Limnophila Indica or simply Ambulia, is a true aquatic plant that originates from the continents Asia, Africa and Australia. Ambulia makes a lovely pond plant or a nice addition to your well lit aquarium. Ambulia is a plant that requires a lot of sunlight and is quite beautiful when planted in bunches. Ambulia is a nice alternative when Cabomba is not available. Ambulia is a submerged plant that will help to oxygenate the water in your pond. Ambulia has lovely, airy, green whorls of foliage that look quite attractive in the water.
Plant your Ambulia in small containers using 1/8 inch pea gravel or sand and place to depths of up to 2 1/2 feet beneath the surface of the water. Ambulia reproduces from stem cuttings or propagates from head cuttings and needs moderate to bright light conditions to grow well. Too much strong sunlight may cause some of the outer foliage of your Ambulia to acquire a reddish tint.
