Australian Feathers is a pond plant that has an upright habitat and resembles parrots feather. This delightful pond plant is emerald-green and grows to 6" tall in columns at the surface of the water, when planted in in small pots! Green, feathery stems grow upright at the edge of your pond to help soften the rockery! This plant is now sold as bunched cuttings and simply needs to be planted in a small pot of heavy loam soil and placed with up to 4" of water over the top of the pot. Or, you can place at the base of taller plants to cover the edges of the container. Once planted in a pot, Australian Feathers will spread 8 to 16 inches in most directions there is water.
Plan this pond plant in a small container or small planting bag, 4" or larger, using heavy loam soil or aquatic planting medium. Place in full sun to part shade with up to 4" of water over the top of the pot. (Should overwinter) Hardy to zone 6 when planted in soil.
