Laguna Square Basket 9 x 9 x 6 Inches Deep -Great size for small bog plants! Planting baskets allow your plants roots access to oxygen, this helps your plants to thrive. Just add heavy loam soil and remember to use Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs for robust bloom and healthy plants!
For tall plants, consider using larger and wider containers, depending on wind and how broad the plants leaves are--you want a container that will be anchored down. By July or August many plants have used up much of the original loam soil you used when planting, the top of the pot where your foliage is--will be heavier and the bottom of the pot will be lighter than when you first planted in spring. Using some stones at the bottom of your planting (not the top) will help to anchor your container and help to keep it from tipping over in strong winds.
*We never advise using stones atop plantings as that is not how any of our plants grow in nature and tender plants are heavily damaged with stone, however stone at the bottom of the pot is okay, and a way to anchor the containers more securely in the pond.
*For plants like taro and canna , thalia, cattails, and taros - the 12 ,14, and 16 inch pots (or larger) will likely be better suited to anchor tall plants than any basket.
