Lemon Mist Waterlily is a medium sized, hardy waterlily that adds a soft-hued, sunny touch to your pond! Elegant in size and shape, the blooms are airy at first but mature into more stellate blooms once established. The green pads are lightly speckled and are a nice complement to this waterlily. Pads are 6 - 7 inches in diameter and this plant has a 3 - 5 foot spread.
Plant your Lemon Mist Waterlily in a wide, shallow container using loam soil. (See our home page for directions to make 'Loam Soil'. Place the cut side of the plant (non-growing side) against the side of the container. Make sure the roots are in soil but leave the crown of the plant exposed as it needs sunlight for the plant to grow. Never put stones or rocks on the soil as this hinders the growth of the plant. Place the container 12 to 18 inches beneath the surface of the water. Make sure the roots, stems and undersides of pads are in the water. The waterlily may be placed up to 24 inches beneath the surface of the water once it is established. Fertilize your waterlily once a month during the growing/blooming season with fertilizer tabs. Your waterlily should bloom all summer long!
