Siam Pink # 2 Hardy Waterlily has beautiful, pink blooms that are similar to 'Pink Splash' Hardy Waterlily. The difference is the beautifully mottled pads on Siam Pink # 2, hardy waterlily. This beautiful waterlily has bright, rosy-pink, cup shaped flowers that are edged in white near the center of the bloom. A good bloomer and a spectacular combination with the mottled pads. This medium sized waterlily works well in small, medium and large ponds.
Plant your hardy waterlily in a wide, shallow container using loam soil. Put the non growing end of the waterlily against the side of the pot, cover the roots of the waterlily with soil but keep the crown exposed to the sunlight. Never place stones or rocks on the top of the soil as this will hinder the growth of the waterlily. Place your waterlily in 12 - 18 inches of water in a sunny area of the pond, making sure it is completely submerged. Once your waterlily is established, you may place it up to 24 inches beneath the surface of the water.
Fertilize your waterlily once a month throughout the growing/blooming season to keep it healthy and blooming.
Please see instructions on our Home Page regarding making 'loam soil'.
