Vulcan Red Lobelia is often describes an as improved version of 'Queen Victoria Lobelia', Vulcan Red Lobelia has majestic, purple foliage that contrasts nicely with the spikes of dazzling-red blooms that appear mid-summer through fall. The strong, upright foliage forms columns and looks spectacular in your water garden or terrestrial garden. Vulcan Red Lobelia attracts butterflies and hummingbirds to your terrestrial garden or water feature.

Planting Instructions

Plant your Vulcan Red Lobelia in moist, loam soil in your bog area or in  large, wide, containers for the pond with loam soil and an inch of water above the roots in full sun to part shade.  Looks great in your terrestrial flower bed as well--attracting butterflies and hummingbirds! Plant in heavy loam soil in full sun to part shade, water well and keep soil evenly moist throughout the summer, especially during dry spells.  Fertilize once a month, June through August, for best bloom and vigorous growth!
