Zeal Salmon Kaffir Lily, also known as 'River Lily', is a wonderful pond plant with lively salmon-red flowers above the tall, semi-evergreen, iris-like foliage in the late summer and early fall months of August, September and October. This long blooming season adds lots of color to the pond when other flowers are fading. Zeal Salmon Kaffir Lily has a clump-like habitat and is native to South Africa. Kaffir Lilies may be grown in the pond or in your terrestrial garden. Great for borders, when planted en masse or as unique specimens in the flower bed. Hardy in zones 6 - 12

Zeal Salmon Kaffir Lilies must be planted in moist loam soil. (Please see our directions for 'loam soil' on our home page.) When planting in containers to place in the pond, use moist loam soil (NEVER ROCKS) and place the container in the pond with up to three inches of water above the roots of the plant. When planting in your terrestrial garden, plant in loam soil, keep the soil evenly moist and make sure to water your plants during dry spells. Kaffir Lilies need full sun to part shade and bloom best in full sun. Kaffir lilies are hardy in zones 6 - 12.
