Brilliant, rosy-red blooms open at dusk, blooms stand 4 - 6 inches above the surface of the water, and above the handsome reddish-bronze pads.
Red Flare Waterlily is a prolific bloomer and is stunning, especially if your pond is lit at night!
The reddish-bronze pads are beautiful in the daytime as well. The reddish-bronze foliage makes a nice contrast to green plants in the pond. The spread on the Red Flare Tropical, Night Blooming Waterlily is 4 - 6 feet and is quite stunning in medium to large ponds. HEAVY BLOOMER!

The frequency of fertilizing this Pond Plant: 4-5 Water Lily World Tablets on the 1st and 15th of each month from the start of the growing season to mid-August. (We sell Waterlily World fertilizer tablets, which are safe for fish and all other pond life. The tablets are good for all pond plants except carnivorous pond plants.

Plant in Loam Soil (this is topsoil with no organic compost added; stay away from bagged soil as it has a lot of compost that will rot in water. Much of the USA is covered in excellent loam soil, which is precisely what you should find under healthy turf/grass. If you live in an area of the USA without good loam, we offer PondGro Aquatic Loam Soil which you can add up to 40% sand to make the volume more once it arrives, but no higher than 40% sand, or the soil will not contain enough nutrients in the mix. This mix is good for all pond plants.
