Pin Waree Hardy Water Lily – Champion Yellow Bloomer

Ships April–September • Hardy perennial pond plant • Medium to large spread • Full sun • Color: Yellow

The Pin Waree Hardy Water Lily is a spectacular, heavy-blooming variety that stands out for its star-shaped yellow flowers and vigorous growth. With a spread of 3–5 feet in its first year, Pin Waree quickly establishes itself in any pond, creating a cheerful display that lasts all summer. The vivid yellow flowers rise gracefully above the water and are complemented by rich green lily pads, making this cultivar a customer favorite for medium and large ponds.

Pin Waree Hardy Water Lily Proper Planting and Care

  • Planting Depth: 6–18 inches below the water’s surface for best blooming results

  • Container Size: 10–20 inch wide container (fabric aquatic pots preferred); also thrives in natural earth-bottom ponds

  • Soil: Heavy loam topsoil from your yard — never use bagged soil or mixes with compost, as they float and rot

  • Sunlight Needs: Full direct sun, at least 6–7 hours daily

  • Plant Spread: 3–5 feet across the first year, expanding as the rhizome matures

Pin Waree Hardy Water Lily Fertilizing Schedule

  • Fertilize on the 1st and 15th of each month from April through September

  • Use 4–5 Waterlily World Fertilizer Tablets per feeding

  • Place tablets 3–4 inches deep, spaced around the rhizome crown

  • Consistent feeding keeps Pin Waree living up to its reputation as a champion heavy bloomer

Do’s and Don’ts for Pin Waree Hardy Water Lily

Do’s
✅ Plant the Pin Waree Hardy Water Lily in full sun for maximum blooms
✅ Use wide, shallow containers or earth-bottom ponds for best performance
✅ Fertilize consistently during the growing season
✅ Divide rhizomes every 1–2 years to prevent overcrowding and maximize flowering

Don’ts
❌ Do not use bagged compost, peat, or aquatic planting media — these rot or float
❌ Do not cover the rhizome crown with stones or gravel — the growing point must remain exposed to light and air
❌ Do not allow the plant to dry out when unpacking; pot and place in water immediately
❌ Do not allow floating plants or other lilies to crowd Pin Waree — each plant needs space for its leaves to spread and absorb sunlight for photosynthesis and bloom production
