Wimolrat Hardy Water Lily – Deep Pink, Profuse Bloomer

The Wimolrat Hardy Water Lily is a stunning medium-sized variety hybridized in Thailand in 2021 by renowned hybridizer Pairote Tongnum. This hardy water lily has large, many-petaled, deep pink blossoms that add vibrant color and beauty to any pond. Its vigorous flowering habit makes it one of the most floriferous hardy water lilies available, producing an abundance of blooms all summer long when given full sun and proper care.

Whether in a large earth bottom pond, a more large water garden with a liner the Wimolrat Hardy Water Lily adapts beautifully and rewards growers with continuous flowers. This free-flowering variety is already admired by collectors for its performance and elegant form.

Wimolrat Hardy Water Lily Proper Planting and Care

  • Wimolrat Hardy Water Lily Planting Depth: 6–18 inches from the top of the pot to the water surface (shallower water = more blooms)

  • Wimolrat Hardy Water Lily Container Size: Use a 16-20 inch wide fabric pot, or plant directly into an earth-bottom pond

  • Soil: Only plant in heavy loam soil from your yard (avoid bagged compost soils, which float and rot in water)

  • Sunlight Needs: Full, direct sun (at least 6–8 hours daily) is required for continuous blooms

  • Spread: Medium, making it ideal for small to medium ponds as well as larger water features

Wimolrat Hardy Water Lily Fertilizing Schedule

  • Fertilize on the 1st and 15th of each month during the growing season

  • Use 3–5 Waterlily World Fertilizer Tablets per feeding, pressing them 3–4 inches deep near the rhizome

  • Consistent feeding ensures the Wimolrat Hardy Water Lily remains floriferous with abundant flowers

Do’s and Don’ts for Wimolrat Hardy Water Lily

Do’s
✅ Plant the Wimolrat Hardy Water Lily in full sun for maximum flowering
✅ Use heavy loam soil in containers or earth-bottom ponds
✅ Fertilize consistently to encourage continual blooming throughout summer
✅ Divide every 1–2 years in spring to maintain vigor and flower production

Don’ts
❌ Do not cover the rhizome crown with stones or gravel — this suffocates growth and reduces flowering
❌ Do not use bagged soils containing compost or peat — these float and decay in water
❌ Do not allow floating plants or taller marginals to shade the Wimolrat Hardy Water Lily
❌ Do not let the plant dry out during unpacking — stems, roots, and crowns must stay wet and be planted immediately
❌ Do not overcrowd — this hardy water lily needs room to spread for full flower display
