Planting Instructions
For the terrestrial garden, plant in moist loam soil, with 1/2 inch of soil over bulbs/roots, in the bog area of your pond or in an area of your garden where plants will be kept moist. Plant in full sun to part shade and fertilize throughout the growing season. You may cut back foliage from your iris after the first frost and mulch the iris in your terrestrial garden throughout the winter months to protect your iris bulbs from winter freezing and thawing. Remove mulch in the spring. Divide iris every two - three years When placing pond plants in the pond, use large (one gallon or larger) containers and heavy loam soil, place with up to two inches of water above the top of the container. Fertilize pond plants once a month with slow release fertilizer tabs (June through August). Blooms best in full sun.
