Plant Pontederia Cordata in moist, loam soil with up to 4-10 inches of water over the soil. Pickerel Rush is a great pond plant that does best in full sun to full shade. Plant in a 12" wide container about 12" deep, or larger using heavy loam soil and place in your pond with up to 10 " of water above the roots. Beautiful when naturalized on the banks of ponds and lakes. When planting in containers, keep roots from freezing. Hardy in zones 3-11
