'Painted Pom Pom' is a new perennial, winter-hardy waterlily. A multi colored flower and multi colored pad water lily that is hardy in all of the continental USA.
A medium waterlily, somewhat smaller than its sister plant, Painted Lady, also from hybridizer Tony Moore. Plant Painted Pom Pom in 6 to 12 inches of water initially to get established in a 12 to 16 inch wide shallow container with heavy loam soil and four to five aquatic waterlilyworld fertilizer tablets with a minimum of six hours of direct sunlight. Once established and well rooted after several weeks, it can be lowered deeper if you wish, up to thirty inches, but will still need six or more hours of direct sunlight and will still bloom less than in shallow water.
This plant should be divided once a year to keep blooming, and fertilized twice a month with three to four Waterlily World aquatic fertilizer tablets. It will then bloom all summer under these instructions. It is safe for all fish and pond life!
Please do not deviate from our planting instructions.
You can plant directly in an earth-bottom pond rather than in pots.
Waterlilies will be eaten by large Koi, Carp, Muskrats, Turtles, Deer, and other animals.
Waterlilies are fine with all Goldfish and frogs!
