Sunny Pink Hardy Waterlily – A Sweet, Peachy-Pink Heavy Bloomer

The Sunny Pink Hardy Water Lily is one of the most cheerful and reliable bloomers you can add to your pond. Its soft peach-pink flowers light up the water garden with a warm glow, blooming all summer long until frost. This hardy perennial water lily is a HEAVY BLOOMER, producing bloom after bloom, ensuring you’ll never have a dull moment in your pond.

Complementing the water lily flowers are attractive green lily pads, which provide the perfect backdrop for the blossoms. With a spread of 4–8 feet, the Sunny Pink Hardy Water Lily is ideal for medium to large ponds, adding both color and life to your water garden.

Sunny Pink Hardy Water Lily Proper Planting and Care

  • Container Size: Plant in a large, 20-inch wide fabric container for best growth.

  • Soil Type: Use heavy loam topsoil only — never use bagged mixes with compost, as these will float and rot.

  • Planting Depth (Soil to Water Surface): 12–24 inches beneath the water surface.

  • Sunlight Needs: Minimum of 5 hours of direct, unobstructed sunlight, ideally 6+ hours midday for abundant blooms.

  • Fertilizer Schedule: Add 4–6 Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs on the 1st and 15th of each month during the growing season for non-stop flowering.

Do’s and Don’ts for Sunny Pink Hardy Water Lily

✅ Do:

  • Plant in full sun for maximum flowering.

  • Use a large, wide container with heavy loam soil.

  • Fertilize consistently during the growing season.

  • Divide every 1–2 years to prevent overcrowding and ensure peak blooming.

❌ Don’t:

  • Don’t plant Sunny Pink Hardy Water Lily in cold water early in spring — wait until temperatures are reliably warm.

  • Don’t allow other pond plants or floating plants to shade or crowd Sunny Pink, as it needs free surface area and sunlight to thrive.

  • Don’t cover the crown with stones or gravel; this prevents healthy growth and can kill the plant.

  • Don’t leave roots, crowns, or stems exposed to air when unpacking. Water lilies dry out quickly — pot and place in your pond immediately upon arrival.
