In almost all instances, it is illegal for you to possess and or transport them.

When it is time to discard aquatic plants
- Bag them for the trash
- Use them for compost
- Find a new owner
- Never release into waterways
Each year we lost native plant and animal species because of released non-native aquatic plants which cutoff oxygen below the surface of the water and overcrowd sensitive native plants with a smaller range in which they may grow. The Federal and State governments spend billions of dollars attempting to eradicate and re-establish waterways. Be a good steward.
