🌿 Live Pond Plant & Pond Fish Arrival Guarantee

For Pond Plants, Water Lilies, Floating Pond Plants, and Plants for Koi Ponds & Water Gardens

Hello Watergarden enthusiasts,
We want every plant you receive from Pond Megastore to arrive healthy, happy, and ready to grow. Occasionally, due to extreme heat or delays, issues like yellow leaves or root drop can occur on floating pond plants such as water hyacinth or water lettuce.
Please take just a few moments to read this page — it helps protect your Live Arrival Guarantee and ensures total pond success!

✅ Our Promise

We guarantee all live plants to arrive in good condition.
We ship with care using 2–3 day transit times so plants arrive fresh and strong.
If something seems off when your box arrives —  yellowing leaves or wilted foliage — we can help!

📸 To Extend Your Guarantee on Pond Plants

Please follow these easy steps within 24 hours of delivery:

  1. Take clear photos of:

    • Any plants that look stressed, yellow, or questionable.

    • The packing slip shows your order number and the packer’s initials.

    • The plants as received and again after planting or acclimating.

  2. Email us right away at
    📧 PondQuestions@gmail.com

  3. Include your name, order number, and any questions you have.

  4. We’ll review your photos, note your claim, and extend your guarantee past delivery.

⏰ Important: Contacting us within 24 hours is the only way to extend your guarantee. Waiting even a few days voids your coverage.

⚠️ What Will Void Your Guarantee on Pond Plants

To keep your guarantee valid, please avoid these common mistakes:

  • Waiting more than 24 hours after delivery to contact us.

  • Planting in the wrong media — never use gravel, stones, calcined clay, sand or “aquatic planting media.”

    • These materials have no nutrients and will void your guarantee.

    • Always use true loam soil, not bagged potting mix or compost.

  • Leaving plants out of water or unplanted.

    • Water lilies and oxygenating plants must be potted and placed in the pond immediately.

  • Using mulch-filled “garden soils” from big-box stores.

    • They float, rot, and cause algae.

  • Trying to make a claim weeks later.

    • Claims made after 24 hours or without photos will be denied.

🌞 Important Pond Plant Care Notes

Floating & Shelf Pond Plants

  • In late spring and summer, acclimate floating and shallow-water plants like water hyacinths and water lettuce out of direct sun for 3-4 days.

  • Sudden full-sun exposure can scorch new leaves — give them time to adjust.

Water Lilies

  • Keep them wet at all times during unpacking and through planting. Stems, the underside of the lily pads, and the roots can dry out in moments. They must always be wet.

  • Use wide, shallow pots (14” or larger) and loam soil for medium and large water lilies.

  • Fertilize water lilies on the 1st and 15th of each month.

  • It’s normal for water lilies to cycle through leaves every 3–4 weeks.

Sacred Lotus Tubers

  • Only plant when nights are in the 50s and days are in the low 80s — always in full, direct sun.

  • Store each tuber in the refrigerator until proper planting weather.

  • Never dig up or move a lotus after planting.

  • Send a photo 10 days after planting, showing it in the pond, if it’s not sprouting, so we can try to identify any stressors. Do not remove the pot or plant from pot for the photos.

  • Email the photos to PondQuestions@gmail.com.

🐠 Fish, Snails, and Tadpoles Guarantee

Our live animal shipments are guaranteed to arrive alive.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Unbox and release them into the pond immediately upon arrival. Take a tote or bucket and strain the old water from the bag. You do not want dirty water in the pond you only want to add the fish or tadpoles.

  • Never float bags in sunlight — they can overheat in moments.

  • Don’t open bags early or leave them in direct sun.

  • Condition new pond water before introducing fish or snails.
(Avoid chloramines, chlorine, ammonia, or heavy metals.) It is best to have an acclimated and well-planted pond full of beneficial bacteria before adding fish or tadpoles.

We ship to industry standards and want your pond life to thrive from the very first day!
