Four Leaf Clover (Marsilea Mutica)

Four Leaf Clover is a charming, aquatic pond plant and is simply delightful as it spreads across the surface of the water. Variegated, green leaves are 1 - 3 inches in size and look exactly like Lucky, Four Leaf Clovers! Four Leaf Clover is especially nice for small ponds or container gardens! Four Leaf Clover is just one of the many aquatic pond plants for sale at Pond Megastore! Four Leaf Clover adds cheer and charm to any water garden setting!

Height Grows to the surface of the water; leaves lay on the water's surface

Width Spreads slowly across the surface of the water

Sunlight Requirements : Full sun to partial shade

Moisture Requirements Wet (Must be planted and placed below the surface of the water)

Bloom Inconsequential blooms

Fertilizer : Fertilize once a month with Fertilizer Tabs (June through August)

Zone Hardy to zone 5

Plant  aquatic, Four Leaf Clover in containers using heavy loam soil (small fabric planters are excellent for this) and place in full sun to part shade, 2 - 18 inches beneath the surface of the water (deeper depths for established plants). Plants will grow to surface of the water and slowly spread over the surface of the water. Note it is common for leaves to yellow on transplant and then new growth will emerge green often a week or two later any time the plants roots engage in transplant trauma. Great for shelves of small ponds or for use in tub or container gardens.

We sell and recommend Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs + Humates for optimum growth of all of your aquatic pond plants.

This plant is listed as an illegal invasive species in both Louisiana and Oklahoma. Please do not order this plant in those states, as we will not ship it there.
