Water well and fertilize throughout the growing/blooming season (June through August). Lift rhizomes after first frost in the fall in the north, trim away all foliage, rinse away any soil clinging to the rhizome, allow rhizomes to dry in a well ventilated area outdoors for 7 - 10 days, then store in a cool, dry environment indoors between layers of newspaper. Replant in spring, after all danger of frost has passed.
