White Pickerel Rush (Pontederia Cordata Alba) grows  26 - 32 inches tall and 15-24 inches wide, and this pond plant is a very easy grower! Lovely, lush, green foliage with delicate, white, flower spikes above the foliage, adding vertical interest. Always a mainstay in the water garden world while it brings butterflies and hummingbirds to your backdoor! Also great for erosion control in natural earth bottom ponds.

Plant in heavy loam soil with up to 8 inches of water above the roots.(Deeper depths is for established plants) Plant in full sun to part shade-- although it blooms better in full sun!  (It is important that the roots of this plant be kept moist) Plant in extra wide container (2 gallon or larger) as this is a vigorous grower!  White Pickerel Rush is a pond plant that looks great in the shallow end of your pond or naturalized on the lake! When planted in containers, it is important to keep the roots from freezing. Hardy in zones 6 - 12
