This new Aquatic Canna is intense and lovely. Growing 24-32 inches tall this variety isn't too tall to overpower most water gardens. Fire Brigade will bring as much attention as a five alarm fire because it stands out as a great blooming plant and also uptakes tons of nutrients from the water making it great for bogs and streams which get lots of water flow. They can also be planted around the edge of earth bottom ponds or even above the waterline. 

Planted in or out of the water is fine but out of the water will need access to moisture by watering or rain multiple times each week. Hardy to zone 7 in a pond plant in a large 12 inch wide pot with loam soil from below your turf grass or mix soaked/ wetted peat moss with sand and clan topsoil from your yard never bagged soil which has mulch in it and is bad for ponds. If lowering into the pond canns just like the roots covered they don't want to be drowned. Wet feet dry ankles the saying goes. Fertilize through the summer with aquatic plants tabs and dead head old flowers for continual blooming.
