Blue Lobelia has beautiful, vivid, purple blooms on columnar spikes of green foliage, with clump-like, upright habitat. Blue Lobelia blooms from late summer until frost. Blue Lobelia attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Blue Lobelia is stunning in rain gardens, stream beds, as well as in moist bog areas of the pond. Blue Lobelia blooms regally when other flowers are fading.

Plant in rich, loamy soil in part sun to part shade and water during dry spells. Fertilize June through August. Purple Lobelia blooms mid summer until frost with delightful purple blooms! Deadhead spent blooms to encourage growth and new bloom. Mulch to retain moisture in the summer and to avoid winter damage. Will tolerate an inch or two of water above the roots but prefers being planted above the waterline.
