Dripping Dew Lotus
Dripping Dew Lotus has lovely, purple buds that have a full, rounded shape that open to luscious, pink blooms with green petaloids. Dripping Dew Lotus does not set seed--but it does flower often and the double-blooms are long-lasting! Dripping Dew Lotus is a delightful addition to your water garden! Dripping Dew Lotus will grow 2 - 4 feet tall, depending on your container size--the wider the container, the taller your lotus will grow--and you will also have more blooms!

Plant in a wide, shallow container (16-30 inch wide or wider), using heavy loam soil. Dig a shallow trench in the soil and place the lotus tuber in the trench with growth tips pointing up. Be careful not to break or damage the growth tips. Cover the lotus tuber with shallow soil while leaving the growth tips exposed. Add a couple of inches of water above the soil and place container outside in a sunny location (8 + hours of sunlight daily). In a week or two you will have coin leaves on the surface of the water, in another week or so you will have aerial leaves growing out of the water. It is now time to fertilize your lotus.
Once you have aerial leaves growing out of the soil, simply press 3 to 4 fertilizer tabs into the soil around the roots of your lotus. Be careful not to damage the roots. We recommend Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs + Humates for optimum growth and best bloom. Fertilize each month, June through September, as these are the growing/blooming months!
